| 85A Engine Men's Reunion - November 2009 |
| The Worcester Locomotive Society working in conjunction with the Malvern Industrial Archaeology Circle (MIAC) jointly hosted a second evening reunion for engine men from 85A Worcester and sub-sheds. |
| Over one hundred 85A Railwaymen
attended, the age range was from 60 to over 90 years old. What a truly wonderful
evening was had by all. The WLS and MIAC received many calls and e-mails in the days
that followed thanking us for organising the evening and asking when we can repeat the
event. Plans are already afoot for a repeat next year - but no firm promises just
yet! More photographic and archive material was brought to the evening and kindly donated to MIAC who provide an effective archive service to prevent materials being "lost" over the years. There's still several enginemen and depot staff yet to be positively identified in some photographs but huge progress was made in identifying many previously unknown railwaymen |
| Just a small sample of the many photographs taken during the evening by Bob Young and Ian Catling. |
